New Grilled Cheese
Is there anything faster for lunch? Bread + cheese + some sort of toasting implement = near-instant happiness.
But wait - what if we jazz this up a little bit?
What if we make it a) more nutritious and b) somewhat eastern Europe?
Even more happiness.
(And if you still haven't forgiven me for the peanut butter and pickle toasts ... well, then obviously you didn't try them. Oh, and let's start again, shall we?)

New Grilled Cheese
Serves 3
The Ingredients
6 slices of rye bread
2 apples, thinly sliced
125 g (half a block or so) of cheddar cheese, sliced
sauerkraut, to taste
The Process
1. Lightly toast bread under the grill in the oven for a few minutes, until golden.
2. Remove, turn over, and layer with apple (1st) and cheese (2nd). Put the toasts back under the grill for a few more minutes, until the cheese is melty and golden. Careful it doesn't burn!
3. Remove from the oven and top with a handful of sauerkraut. Easy Peasy!
Using all organic ingredients, you can make this for about $2.00 per serve.
Happy lunching!
